Behavioral-health education for veterans and the families beside them.Better Questions.Deeper Understanding.Stronger Conversations.
Behavioral-health education that helps veterans, families, and the people who support them better understand thoughts, emotions, assumptions, and behavioral patterns.
For military transition, life with a service-connected disability, and the people living alongside it — so your next appointment starts with a question you've already written down, not a knot you can't explain.

A different way to learn about yourself
Most educational programs explain concepts. Officium Mentale goes a step further: it teaches you how to investigate your own experience.
Instead of automatically accepting your first interpretation, you'll learn to distinguish what happened from what you think it means, examine your assumptions, recognize patterns, and consider your next choice.
See one lesson in action
This is what a lesson actually asks you.
A real question set from Lesson 1 — the same three questions every lesson walks you through, in this order.
You walk in with a question instead of a knot. Less alone in it, and less helpless in the gap between needing help and finding it.

Becoming an Investigator of Your Own Mind
The Space Between Event and Reaction
The lesson's core question
“What actually happened before my mind explained what happened?”
- 01 Notice
Core Question
What can I describe about the event without adding what I think it meant?
- 02 Explore
Deeper Question
What did my mind add to the event?
- 03 Connect
Therapeutic Bridge
What question would help me understand the difference between what happened and what I concluded?
What to look for
Look for the boundary between observable information and interpretation. Do not force yourself to decide which interpretation is correct. First learn to see the difference.
What you carry to your provider
The Connect question is the one you'd bring to a provider — written down, in your own words, before the appointment.

- He didn't answer my text for four hours. That is the whole event.
- Explore
- My mind added: he's pulling away, I did something wrong, this is how it always goes.
- Connect
- How do I tell the difference between someone being busy and someone pulling away — and why does my mind jump to the second so fast?

What changes
Not just a skill. A different way to sit with the hard moments — for you and for the people beside you.
For you
Less alone with what's in your head, and less helpless in the gap between needing help and finding it. The reaction still comes — but now there's a question between you and it.
For the people beside you
Your family or partner sees you working at it, in plain language. When one person stops reacting on autopilot, conversations at home stop escalating as fast.
On your own terms
Nobody tells you what your reaction means — you do the looking, at your own pace, and the account and the reflections are yours. Rebuilding after service on your own terms, not on a schedule somebody else set.
For your next appointment
You walk in with a written question instead of a knot. Providers get to hear what you've noticed, not just that something feels wrong.
Who is it for?
Veterans and families get lost in the space between needing help and finding it. Families and organizations need fewer dead ends, not more paperwork. Everything here is built for that space — and for the people who stand in it with them.
Who it is not for: if you're in crisis right now, call or text 988 (veterans press 1) — that comes first. And if you're looking for a diagnosis or treatment, you need a licensed provider. We teach; we don't treat.
For schools, agencies and teaming partners
Programs for schools, agencies and teaming partners — VOSB certified, SAM.gov active, non-clinical by design.
Cohort course access, facilitated series or facilitator training, population adaptation, materials and participation reporting — written to your statement of work and built to sit alongside your licensed providers. A written proposal comes back within two business days.

Before you ask
The three questions everyone asks first.
Is this therapy?
No. Officium Mentale provides education and reflection tools. It does not diagnose conditions or replace psychotherapy or other qualified care. The lessons teach you to examine your own thinking and to bring better questions to a qualified provider — a psychologist, therapist, counselor, or physician.
What does it cost?
The Introduction and Lesson 1 are free — no account, no card. After that it's $7 a lesson, $19 a module, or $47 for all 20 lessons, paid once with no subscription. Programs for schools, organizations, and agencies are scoped and quoted per engagement.
What's behind Sign in?
Your learner account. Signing in with Google (free) saves your lesson progress, your Notice / Explore / Connect reflections, your Mind Lab inquiries, and your certificates — and it's where purchased lessons unlock. You don't need it for the free Introduction and Lesson 1.
